Who are we?

K Creek Farms Bloodhounds is an in home kennel in South Central Indiana with a HUGE love for animals especially Bloodhounds.  There is something about their permanent puppy look, silly personality and hilarious antics that keep us laughing and we can't get enough of it. We build our breeding program on a passion for the breed and the health and wellness of them, and to share their love with other families while maintaining professionalism and integrity. Being a registered veterinary technician, with 14 years in the veterinary field and 12 years breeding, we want the very best of health, temperament, breed standard while still being affordable for every family to have a quality family pet. We want the best for our puppies but we also want the best for the families they go home with, a "match made in heaven" so to say. It is for this reason, that we that we like to speak with owners and make sure research has been done concerning this breed as well as adding a puppy to their family in general.

How are our dogs raised and where did they come from?

All of our dogs have been hand selected for our breeding program to have a multitude of factors that we feel makes them worthy of our breeding program, including temperament, health, a generational history of no health issues, breed standard as well as being descendants of proven working or show dogs. All of the dogs in our breeding program are pets first and foremost, learning the proper socialization and doggie social skills to pass along to their puppies as well as having loving temperaments. All of our dogs are able to enjoy our 50 acre farm with various sights and smells, as well as ample room to play and romp. They enjoy the comforts of our household, perks of having fresh goat milk daily and more orders from Chewy with goodies than I care to admit! Our dogs are not outdoor kennel dogs, and are retired and live out their lives as loving pets!

How soon will you have a puppy available for me?

Typically a person is on our waitlist for 4-12 months before getting the puppy they desire (sex or color wise), it may be sooner or longer.  We are not a mass production breeder, therefore we do not have puppies available year round for purchase as we methodically plan out our litters. We plan our litters in accordance with our waitlist to ensure we are only producing litters we have great homes for. We plan our litters as we provide around the clock care of the puppies as well as simulation and socialization development that we must be able to commit to. This is what makes our puppies have an ample start in their lives to be ready to go to their new homes!

A Great Head Start!

At K Creek Farms Bloodhounds, we believe that a proper start in life is key for a successful dog-human relationship. This sets the puppy up for success when going to its new home. Socialization and exposure to all of the things it may potentially encounter in the first 8 weeks of life create a foundation in a puppies life that will stick with that puppy for the rest of its life. We enjoy knowing we can create a positive foundation for that puppy that new families can continue to build upon. The Puppy Culture method has greatly shaped our methods and offered outstanding results. Puppies are handled and socialized from day one by us, raised in our homes, in the middle of our household so they are exposed to the daily hustle of everyday life and noises that they will experience. This helps them to be confident dogs in their lives and when adjusting to their new homes. We also start early potty training, crate training, nail trims and baths, as well as unlimited cuddling! They are exposed to other animals, playtime outside (weather permitting), toddlers, and a house full of bloodhounds which causes noises of their own!

How do I get on the waiting list?

At K Creek Farms Bloodhounds a lot goes into raising our bloodhound puppies, its practically at 24/7 on call job for 8 weeks! We sacrifice a lot of holiday time with family, date nights, so really questionable things in our washing machine, and our sanity and heart sometimes as well, but we do this because we have a love and a passion for it and we don't think twice about the sacrifices we make for the health and well being of our puppies and dogs! That being said planning a litter is a very long thought out process, with a lot of planning and a little bit of luck of mother nature playing by the rules. We do not produce litters we do not have suitable homes already planned for. Our waiting list allows us to have pre-screened suitable homes who are serious and ready to add a K Creek Farms Bloodhound to their family. Adding a puppy to your family is a super exciting time and we want the best experience for you and our focus to be on our puppy families! If you have decided we are the breeder for you and you would like to be on our waiting list to add a K Creek Farms Bloodhound puppy to your family, please fill out our puppy application. Once we receive your application, we will then contact you. You will be contacted anytime there is availability or planning of a litter of puppies that meets your specifications (remember more sex or color specifications can lead to a longer time frame!). Please be sure to respond to our emails in a timely manner to be sure to get a chance to place a deposit on a puppy (check your spam!) Please only add yourself to our waiting list if you are serious about adding a puppy to your family, as being on the waitlist, you are holding spot so we can dedicate time to getting to know your family and how to best match a puppy to your families within our litters. Typical wait time is 4-12 months on our waiting list as we do an ongoing list. Time can be shorter but please be prepared for a wait. We appreciate your understanding with this policy, it is for the best interest of our future puppies!

The Waiting List

Welcoming you to our waiting list begins the journey with matching you with the perfect bloodhound puppy for your family from us! Although we can give you an estimate of the approximate time frame we hope to have a litter born that may match your specifications, we cannot guarantee timing so please do keep this in mind and keep a reasonable expectation. Mother Nature doesn't always play by the rules for us. The waiting list does not lock you down to any particular litter but does keep you in our contact but please respond back so we know you are still interested. If we lose contact with you, we will not continue to keep you on our lists. The waiting list is not about locking you into purchasing a K Creek Farms Bloodhound puppy, it does however make sure that we ensure we are putting the time, dedication and care into families who are ready to welcome one of our babies into their homes as well as plan for our litters to ensure they have perfect homes ready to welcome them. Our application process allow us to make sure a family who is ready to make that journey with a new bloodhound baby is getting the chance to do so and we are providing the best match for family and puppy.
